Welcome to Defense for Children International Palestine (“DCIP”). These Terms and Conditions regulate the use of our website, www.dci-palestine.org; our campaigns and microsites, including www.nowaytotreatachild.org; and our social media presence, including our Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram profiles and special social media pages or profiles related to our campaigns (our website, campaigns, microsites and social media presence, our “Sites”).

These Terms and Conditions are complemented by our Privacy Policy and by the terms and conditions from each of the platforms that enable our social media presence.

  • About Us

We are an independent, local Palestinian child rights organization based in Ramallah dedicated to defending and promoting the rights of children living in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip. For over 25 years, we have investigated, documented and pursued accountability for grave human rights violations against children; held Israeli and Palestinian authorities accountable to universal human rights principles; and advocated at the international and national levels to advance access to justice and protection for children. We also provide direct legal aid to children in distress.

We are registered under the Palestinian Authority jurisdiction as an independent Palestinian non-governmental charitable organization (RA-2282-SS). Our address is Al-Sartawi Building, Third Floor Al-Khoulafa' St., Al-Bireh/Ramallah, Palestine. We are a national section of Defense for Children International (DCI), an international child-rights movement and non-governmental organization established in 1979. We pledge to follow DCI’s mandate to “promote and protect children’s rights in accordance with international standards.” At the same time, we autonomously develop our own programs in response to our contextual needs.
